As an employer we know you want the best outcomes for your setting or business – quality and financial! To achieve these you need the best staff and this is where we come in, to offer you support with recruitment and staff development. If you are looking for Apprentices – ‘a great opportunity to build your team with ‘home grown’ hard working and committed staff who work well in your environment’ – we will help you recruit, employ and train them. If you have existing staff you wish to train to Level 2, 3 or higher we offer a range of qualifications to meet your needs – added to this we offer short CPD courses and workshops. Additionally, within our specialist sectors, we can offer bespoke management support and consultancy.

To support you to achieve the best outcomes we will:

On 1st May 2017, the new Employer-Led Apprenticeship Funding system was introduced. As an employer, you will access the funding in one of two potential routes – if you have an annual pay bill of over £3 million then you will be paying the ‘apprenticeship levy’ (a 0.5% tax which is estimated to raise £2.8 billion in 2019-20). However, if your annual pay bill is not above £3 million then you are a ‘non-levy paying’ employer and instead you participate in a ‘co-investment’ arrangement whereby employers and government share the cost of training and assessing apprentices.

Is there any extra funding available ?

Yes. Every time you hire and apprentice on one of these new apprenticeship standards, you can receive additional payments

  • If your apprentice is 16 to 18 years old.
  • If you are a small business with less than 50 employees
  • If your apprentice successfully completes their apprenticeship

Trailblazer Apprenticeships

From 2017 Apprenticeships are changing. The employer designed apprenticeship standards set out what an apprentice will be able to do upon completion of their apprenticeship.

These new apprenticeships access an apprentice through a rigorous end point assessment, designed by employers, which will ensure that the apprentice can actually do the job they’ve trained for before completing their apprenticeship.
