Training in the workplace…

Apprenticeships are an excellent way of gaining qualifications and workplace experience.

As an apprentice, you can earn as you learn and you gain practical skills from the workplace.

The apprenticeship frameworks are made up of 5 components:

 

  1. Apprenticeship qualification

  2. Functional Skills (Maths, English and ICT)

  3. Employment Rights and Responsibilities

  4. Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

  5. All apprentices require a work placement which offers 16-32 hours per week and is willing to pay the training allowance


During your training workshops/guided learning support with the help of your assessor from your experiences in the workplace through research from your assessment tasks.

For your apprenticeship you will collect evidence:

 

  • During work
  • With the help of your assessor
  • From your experiences
  • Through research
  • From your assessment tasks

This will all be sorted in an online portfolio.
You will be allocated an assessor

Functional skills:

For your Level 2 apprenticeship framework you will be required to complete functional skills at level 1 in Maths, English and ICT.

For your Level 3 apprenticeship framework you will be required to complete functional skills at level 2 in Maths, English and ICT.
